Today, Cathy received her latest CT Scan results. To quote. "Numerous lesions of the liver, predominantly involving the right hepatic lobe, are somewhat smaller when compared to the prior study, suggesting a response to therapy."
Or, we can simply say that the cancerous tumors in the liver continue to shrink even with the new hormone therapy! Cathy's blood work also supports this as her tumor markers are still falling. The cancer antigen CA 27.29 is currently at 64.6 and CA 15.3 is at 50.3.
In order to be thorough in monitoring Cathy's health, the Block Center has ordered a bone scan along with a routine echocardiogram prior to her next visit.
It was a very blustery "Winnie-the-Pooh" kind of day driving to and from Chicago. For lunch we ate "comfort foods" consisting of tomato soup, chicken and noodle soup, macaroni and cheese and cherry berry crumble. All prepared vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free - and yes, they were quite yummy.
We do thank each one of you for your support and prayers.
Lori
