13th Treatment at the Block Center

It was a beautiful autumn drive to Chicago. We are grateful for the safe travel that God granted to us again!

Upon arrival, Cathy was examined by Jen. All of her vital signs and lab results continue to be within normal ranges. Cathy received her Vitamin I.V. hydration and Herceptin.

We enjoyed a delicious meal of autumn stew, cornbread, kale chips and mulled apple cider. This vegetarian  food was prepared for us by the chefs at the Block Center. Lunchtime is usually a highlight of our day.

Cathy continues to be a wonderful patient with a great sense of humor. Her only complaint is a sore knee while she exercises. Sarah, the physical therapist, was able to give suggestions. She also checked Cathy's level of neuropathy. Her hands are at 85-87% and her feet are 78-80%. Cathy will continue with supplements and cold laser therapy to help restore function in her extremities that were damaged by the chemotherapy. Most of the healing will happen within a 12 month period.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Lori
